IKIGAI

The original concept of Ikigai roots in Japanese culture and represents a deeply ingrained sense of purpose or fulfillment that one finds in the everyday aspects of life. It's about the joy and satisfaction derived from daily activities, relationships, and the simple pleasures.

An interpretation of Ikigai has been popularized through a diagram with circles that seeks to find a sweet spot among four primary elements: what you lovewhat you are good at,  what the world needs, what you can be paid for.

 

This model suggests that Ikigai is at the intersection of these elements, representing an ideal state where personal passions and talents meet societal needs and economic viability.
